HomeGauge Refund and Chargeback Policy

HomeGauge users must agree with the following refund, credit and debit card, and chargeback policy.

If you wish to request a refund on a purchase, you must contact HomeGauge Support within 72 hours of the purchase.

HomeGauge uses "pending charges," “pre-authorization holds,” and "authorization holds" to confirm that the payment method linked to your account is valid. This is a common anti-fraud practice and does not represent actual charges. You may see authorization holds on your credit or debit card when you:

  • Add or update your payment method
  • Purchase a paid, recurring subscription
  • Sign up for a free trial subscription

The amount and duration of the hold varies depending on your credit card company's policies, but generally the $1.00 (USD) charge is released within 3 to 10 business days. You may see more than one authorization charge on your credit or debit card if HomeGauge tries to validate your payment method multiple times, or if you attempt to validate multiple cards.

Refunds are not guaranteed on HomeGauge products and services, or third-party products sold through HomeGauge.

HomeGauge sends email reminders for renewals. You will receive an email that the renewal was successful.

At HomeGauge, we want to give our prospective customers every opportunity to become familiar with our software and support. We offer a discounted full access trial so you can become familiar with all aspects of our software. Our support services are available during this time to answer any questions you might have and guide you through any areas of the software. Our Internet tools are also available during this period so you can see how beneficial this service can be for you and your clients.

In the event of a chargeback placed by you with your bank or credit card company (done intentionally or by mistake) for any HomeGauge products or services, we will complete a thorough investigation to determine the legitimacy of the chargeback. Your account will be permanently suspended if the chargeback is found to be fraudulent.
