We greatly appreciated Dan's thoroughness. He went over everything in careful detail, with photos and written descriptions of problems big and small. He saved us from buying a rotten house! I do think it would be helpful if Dan differentiated his language a bit. He tends to use the same phrasing to address minor flaws as he does to address very major flaws. I understand that the inspection is supposed to be objective and not meant to tell a buyer what to do, but it would be nice if the wording had hints to help people tell the difference between "This is a very minor flaw that can be lived with or easily repaired" versus "This is a huge structural flaw in the house that should make most prospective buyers seriously rethink this purchase." But Dan did a wonderful job of pointing out everything that needed repair, and we were able to see that the house needed truly huge amounts of work. Spending a few hundred to be rescued from wasting tens of thousands is a bargain. We want Dan to look at the next house we are interested in purchasing.

I have already recommended Dan to others. Our home inspection was at 9am. My wife and I pulled up to the property at 8:40am and Dan was already on the roof finding problem after problem on our NEW construction house. Dan was at the house until around 1:30pm methodically inspecting every possible system and aspect that he could. Dan allowed me to walk through the home with him and ask questions and explained everything to me. Dan took pictures, made several notes, and then had the very detailed 58 page report completed and ready in less than 24 hours.
