Charles did a very thorough job of inspecting everything in the house and knows all the building codes that apply. He made sure all the appliances were working, all the electrical outlets worked, and the plumbing was correct (and much more). He found several items that needed to be addressed that we would never have caught (how many of us are roofing experts or insulation experts?). The report contains pictures, building codes cited, and description of the issues. It made it very easy for the builder to address and gave us, the home buyer, something to hold them to. He was extremely courteous, answered all my questions, and explained a lot of things to me as I followed him around the house (careful to not get in his way). Some might consider a home inspection an unnecessary thing but I'd rather spend a little money up front to have the issues identified before I buy the house so they can be addressed now rather than wait until it becomes something much more costly to fix later at my own expense.

I liked Mr. Wilson's inspection report, it was easy to read and had plenty of pictures pointing to the problems that he found and he sited the guide lines in the report on how a certain items is supposed to be installed. Mr. Wilson also provided me with an outline on what are the major items that needed to be addressed first as well as the minor items. Very thorough; appeared to be very experienced and equipped with the latest technologies. Certainly light years beyond the technologies my inspector had the last time I bought a home, almost 20 years ago. More thorough and better informed than the inspection of the house I recently sold. Charles explained his findings in terms understandable to the layperson. He took a very judicious view, carefully differentiating what was minor, what was major, what was simply characteristic of a 60-year-old house. Recommendations were clear, and the context Charles provided gave us a solid basis for negotiating repairs with the seller. Will use Charles again for re-inspection after repairs are done. I am 59 years old and this is my 14th home purchase. Charles Wilson produced the most professional and comprehensive home inspection report I have ever seen!. Because I was buying a new high-end home from a reputable builder, I almost waived my right to an inspection, but I'm glad I decided to get one. Mr. Wilson uncovered code violations and many other things that needed attention. His report even included thermal heat imaging of breaker boxes, thermostats, and other electrical devices. We met him at the end of his inspection and he spent time with us explaining his findings. Mr. Wilson is a very knowledgeable professional and I would not consider buying another property in the future without him.

Charles was good about explaining the inspection services that we purchased. On the day of the inspection, he let us know what time he would start the inspection and how long it would take so that we could meet him as he finished the inspection. At the after inspection meeting, Charles went over the major items that he found and explained why each item matters and why we should care. When I received the report, I was pleasantly surprised by the additional details that were included in the report. I like that Charles included recommendations and knowledge tips in the report. The other thing that I appreciate is that Charles actually walked the roof. I have reviewed other home inspections where the inspector only viewed the roof from the ground. By actually going up on the roof, Charles was able to find a potential water penetration point. Extremely satisfied with Charles, his professionalism, and his thoroughness.

Firstly, I would like to say what a pleasure it was meeting Mr. Wilson. I moved to new city having been here for just over a year and very few people have treated me with the kindness he did. Mr. Wilsons inspection of the windows confirmed information I suspected, but did not have documentation to prove. I requested his service based upon the number of positive reviews in his profile.

This is the second time in a month that I used Charles. The first house, his inspection a so thorough I simply didn't have the money to make all the repairs for the discrepancies he found, so the house hunt continued. The second house made me feel much better when Charles started off his briefing with this house is in pretty good shape the prior owner took good care of it. From there Charles gave me a complete run down on everything and I'm happy to say most of what he found was lack of routine maintenance because the house had been empty for the past year and a half. Charles was once again his thorough, professional, polite self. Charles pulls no punches, he does a great job, better than any home inspector I have ever come across. If you are between Atlanta and the North East corner of Georgia I would highly recommend Charles do your home inspection. I think if you are anywhere in Georgia you should use Charles, you might have to pay more, I don't know for sure, but the results would be well worth it.
