When I first got my license, I thought that all agents, inspectors and other so-called professionals in the field, knew as much as I did about Real Estate. BOY! I WAS I WRONG! Growing up in a family that has owned investment properties now for 53 and have worked on those properties for 41 years now (AND FOR FREE!!) I can tell you, there is a difference! I interviewed quite a few inspectors and majora of them had no where near the knowledge that I had. I have been using Gene since I got my license and will NEVER USE ANYBODY ELSE! In Feb. 2015, I was at home for the inspection because it was our "For Sale By Owner", the buyer was out of state, and couldn't be present. (Obviously, I couldn't walk through my home with Gene for this inspection.)
Upon receiving his report, it became clear how thoroughly he inspected the home for this buyer. I was so impressed with his services and the amount of time spent, 1year later, I called on a Monday to see if he could inspect that same week a house we wanted to purchase. (I really thought it was much too short a notice.) Thank goodness, he had a few appointments left that fit our purchase contract requirements. Once again, my husband and I received the same level of service and courtesy (he even called to say he would be a few minutes late). During the 3+hour inspection, he shared his many qualifications for his inspector position, and I felt we were in good hands. I especially appreciated his time in answering my questions, and patiently, to my novice level.
If this were a rating scale, he would receive 10 stars. We'd refer Gene to any friend, neighbor or real estate agent/broker in a heartbeat.
