Riley is an absolute ace of an Inspector! We've now utilized his home-inspection expertise a third time since 2017, and he has always provided us with excellent service. We can say this from both a pre-purchase inspection, and a post-purchase inspection. Either way, he has excellent communication skills and will make a stressful time a bit easier on you. Getting a home inspection is likely one of the most important tasks at hand when buying a home, and Riley is the best in the business. We were initially referred to him by our realtor, as he is known for his professionalism and expertise, but since, we have always come to Riley for our inspection needs. He is easy to get in contact with, and he makes the scheduling process easy, whether it is an email, test or phone call. Furthermore, once your inspection is complete, he offers his customers a nifty portal that makes accessing, reviewing, downloading, and utilizing your report(s) easy as can be. Of course, with any home inspection, there may be items that come up that are not easy to deal with. Riley will present you with a report that details every single aspect of your inspection. The report includes pictures, recommended timelines on urgency to fix any items that are a hazard, and loads of super useful information on upkeep and maintenance. You should definitely read the report that is generated after your inspection in detail... it helps you learn things about your new digs that you may not have even known, and knowledge is power when it comes to such a huge investment. Riley helps you understand your new home, in and out, so it is important to understand up-front, what you may need to fix, and what you should be aware of. The inspection report aside, Riley will walk you through everything while you are there with him. I am sure many inspectors appreciate sort of being left alone, but Riley has always answered our questions as we went through, or explained this or that. (I.E. We were very puzzled by some newer technology at our most-recently purchased home, but Riley was able to quickly explain what the items purpose, or function was, without missing a beat. Riley appears to be very up to date with the newest in home technology, but judging from an older home we had him inspect years ago, he also displays immense knowledge regarding older homes! He is simply the best in both worlds- he has the experience you need to feel comfortable with your purchase, whether you're getting your inspection beforehand, or if you're purchasing without an inspection in a crazy market, and later having Riley do a post-sale inspection. I would not move into your new home either way, without having Riley inspect it! He will be able to give you so many details that it may save you from a huge disaster down the road, and save you loads of money in the long run if he does find an issue early that needs remediation. Riley has all of the latest technology- frankly, items that I'm not even sure what their purpose it. He has the cool thermal cameras, fun little meters, and he even does radon testing! Having Riley from House to Home LLC inspect your new home means that nothing will slip under the radar! From his thoroughness in the basement, to his balancing act on the roof, every single area and mechanical item in between, and the areas surrounding the place that you'll call home for years to come, he will make you aware of any issues so that you're able to enjoy your investment. Now that we have our hopefully-forever home, we'll miss Riley and his friendly personality and patience, during our inspections. If we ever need his services again, we'd contact him in a heartbeat. He has helped to keep us safe with every home purchase we've made over the years, and we're hoping to enjoy our current home for the rest of our time.
