Allen was very professional & helpful with our entire home inspection process. We have moved frequently in the last 20 years and, as such, have had many home inspections for homes we've considered purchasing. To be fair, I've not attended all of these. Yet whether attending or not, most were either unremarkable (which probably means, adequate), or inaccurate or incomplete.
Allen Potter did our recent (May, 2018) inspection when we were about to purchase our new home. Allen was very accommodating with working with our schedule. He spent a great deal of time at the house, giving much attention to detail. His report addressed issues with a reasonable and rational approach. He was neither over critical nor was anything overlooked. It was obvious that we would be given an accurate and very comprehensive report.
Allen also spent additional time with me, the prospective buyer, explaining functions and controls for all of the utilities and appliances in the home, taking time to answer questions and respond to my comments. In addition, his report included pictures of these for us, having labeled necessary parts for our future use. Not in the history of my home purchases have I received such a detailed report. Allen clearly went above an beyond the basic requirements for a home inspection. In addition, he was a pleasure to be with. I would HIGHLY recommend Allen. He does an exceptional job!

Allen is such a professional. He provides a detailed report, that is extensive and yet, easy to understand. Allen provides labeled photographs to go along with the report of all areas of concern, which is a huge help when one isn't as knowledgeable of the in's and outs of a home inspection. I loved the detailed drone photos of the roof and how he was able to pinpoint areas that needed to be repaired or replaced along with urgency levels. I highly recommend Allen as a home inspector.

After hearing horror story after horror story about home inspectors we were nervous and skeptical about our inspection to say the least. However, our apprehension disappeared the minute we met Allen. He was very pleasant and put us at ease right away, giving us the feeling we were in good hands. He was very good natured about us basically following him around the home during the inspection like puppy dogs, and rather than becoming annoyed with us he actually took the time to explain things to us! Imagine! His inspection was very thorough and we got his report very quickly. Because he documented every issue he found with photos we were able to show the seller's agent issues which we wanted addressed prior to closing. He was also kind enough to photograph the model numbers of all the appliances so that we could have them on file in case we needed that info in the future. All in all, he was fantastic! I would highly recommend him to anybody, even the skeptics among us. Thanks Allen!
