Gerald was a great choice for our inspector. His survey was efficient and thorough. He was like a scientist - deploying instruments, performing experiments, and really puzzling out all the corners of the condo. No detail escaped his attention. But rather than simply tally his findings in the report, he tutored me throughout on how to really interpret and make use of the information. He educated me in all the features of the property, its construction, and the utilities. By the end of the morning, I felt really well prepared to take up residence. Highly recommended.

I recently hired Gerald McMahon to inspect a 90-year-old home in the Los Angeles hills. I knew an older hill home was bound to have numerous problems that needed to be examined, and Mr. McMahon was absolutely the best person for the job. He conducted an extensive investigation of every single nook and cranny of the house and grounds, and took a full two and a half hours to examine 1000 square feet. He let us follow him around and he answered every question with total candor and honesty. We left the home inspection with a thorough understanding of what the house needed to be brought up to optimal safety standards. Within two days, he had prepared for us an exhaustive, comprehensive 70-page report, with color pictures, that detailed every single flaw in the house. No detail was too small for his exacting specifications. When we called him for referrals for further work, he was responsive and helpful.
