Would be nice to have a drone in your tool box for those bad weather days or hard to reach places.
A service offered by some inspectors is a manufacturer/model/serial # check on all appliances/major systems to determine if there is an associated recall or product warning.
I am extremely pleased with Ian and the inspection service provided. I will provide a detailed review in the next day or so.

Ian was great. He went through the place with the proverbial fine-tooth comb, pointing out things I wouldn't have even thought to look for. He had no problems answering any of the questions I had and gave me a brief overall summary at the end of the inspection so I would know what to expect from the report. Lastly, he knew I was on a short respond time, seller wanted 7 days instead of the normal 10 and there was a holiday, and even though he had two other inspections to do after mine he was still able to get the full report to me that evening.

This is totally true! I had the benefit of having Ian AND Wolfgang (inspector in training) do my home inspection. I knew I had my money's worth and then some when they pointed some things out before entering the property, and then in the kitchen. The inspection was good all around: time spent, information received, value for the money, and he showed me how to use my new stud finder!! I definitely recommend Ian and his team for your home inspection. Quality!

Ian McNaught was just as thorough and attentive a home inspector as all the reviews stated posted on Yelp, Angie's List, etc. He helped my wife and I identify major and minor issues, educated us on all the important elements about maintenance (what to turn on/off, when to turn it on/off) and any other regular maintenance new homeowners may not be familiar with. His recommendations were based on experience and most of all practicality. He went above and beyond in all aspects.
