As I told my realtor, there was only one inspector I would trust to perform the inspection on my home under contract--Rick Heyl. I'd taken several continuing education courses taught by Rick at the St. Louis Association of Realtors a few years prior and was so impressed with his knowledge that I hired him to inspect a floor deflection problem at my home. His report was so detailed that there was no question what the contractor's scope of work would be; earlier proposals to resolve the issue didn't sound right to me, and Rick's report proved that. He is truly an expert with an eye for detail unlike most other inspectors.
