We used Prudent Home Inspections for our pre-drywall and pre-move-in inspections of a new construction townhome and could not be more satisfied with the service we received. Although we hope to not have to buy another house any time soon, there is no doubt in my mind who we will hire when that time comes. The level of detail and encyclopedia-like knowledge of the most minor subjects makes it clear that the inspector has a lengthy background in constructing homes as well as inspecting them. Because of this, he was able to convey information to the relevant parties in a way that someone with no hands-on construction experience could not. The thoroughness of his reports and documentation leaves no room for shady sellers to purposefully let poor workmanship slip through the cracks. It's no secret that the home-buying process is confusing, sometimes intentionally, as everyone with an interest in you buying the home tends to keep their cards pretty close to their chest. Jaffar, our inspector, was probably the one person in this process that I trusted completely and without reservation. Of all the "optional" expenditures associated with buying a home (especially new construction), hiring Prudent Home Inspections was unequivocally the most worthwhile.
